Perinatal Obstetrical and Psychological Outcomes among Pregnant Women with COVID-19

Background: COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease with important indirect implications for the outcomes of maternal and neonatal health. Aim: to assess perinatal obstetrical psychological among pregnant women COVID-19. Design: A descriptive cross – sectional research design was utilized. Sample: A purposive sample 53 pregnant who had infected Setting: This study conducted in four different health setting at two governorates; Mansura Fayoum Governorate. Tools data collection: Four tools used collect data: (I) Structured interview schedule (II) Pregnancy & Maternal outcome assessment tool. (III) Neonatal tool lastly (IV) Psychological consequences tools. Results: The results this presented that the large proportion studied exhibited very sever level depression, anxiety, stress, there were statistical significant relation between complications encountered studied pregnant associated risk pregnancy either during pregnancy, labor or postpartum. Conclusion: Pregnant might have an increased adverse obstetrical perinatal outcomes, such as; preterm labor, intrauterine fetal death, stillbirth, increase related risk, fetal distress. Recommendations: Raise awareness general high-risk groups in particular about its preventive measures coping strategies across, activated antenatal class, internet, media other massive multimedia authorities concerned.
